Bukusu Baby born out of incestuous relationship rescued from elders who wanted
to kill it.

Unfolded in Bungoma County as section of Bukusu elders were stopped in the
knick of time as they were about to order the killing of a three day old child.
The
shocking news leaked out to media who rushed to the scene in time only to find
the elders doing the last ritual before the innocent child was killed.
According
to the elders, the child was born out of an incestuous relationship between a
man and his niece and according to Bukusu culture such children have no place
in the society. Bukusu traditions demands that such children are killed
immediately after birth.
The
incident has left Kenyans wondering why it has taken the Bukusu community ages
to review such inhumane cultural practices.
