SONKO BLASTS OWN DAUGHTER OVER REMARKS

Nairobi Senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko has blasted his daughter Saumu Mbuvi over remarks she made attacking socialites.

Saumu, 20, a Journalism student at JKUAT Karen Campus has been quoted telling off socialites who allegedly post nude photos to earn popularity.

Her remarks have however not gone down well with Sonko who has now demanded that Saumu withdraws the remarks and apologizes to the socialites.

The matter has generated heat within the Sonko family and reports have it that Sonko has warned her to keep off media publicity. As a punishment, we have information that Sonko has taken away the car keys of her smart Mercedes Benz and has also suspended her weekly budget.

"As a father, I will take care of her education to  the highest level and at whatever cost and upon completion of education, she can now work and accumulate her own wealth and will then be free to start her own family" said an angry Sonko.

An angry Sonko was quoted saying “I never inherited wealth from my Dad but struggled to be what I am today, it is because of my hard work. Saumu has no right to use my position as Nairobi Senator to attack the socialites, that is wrong and I can’t accept it, she must withdraw the remarks and apologize”.

She was quoted in one of the dailies “It is just a pity tat someone can go all nude to earn popularity. The so called Kenyan socialites are an embarrassment to us. Real socialites are girls from influential settings or families who have real money to afford the limelight stage not the kind of wannables we are seeing here”.

It is not however known for how long Sonko will suspend Saumu’s budget or when he will return her the car keys.
